It’s been a while and I was ready for another Stitch Fix! My request was for them to send me something I could wear for our holiday photos and fall items. Our photos aren’t until the beginning of November so I figured I had time to try a few boxes! Once again I made sure to remind my stylist that I live in Florida and I do enjoy having someone push me a bit outside of my comfort zone when looking to get new clothes. I felt like my stylist really got me last time and really hoped that I would have the same one.

Are you familiar with Stitch Fix? If not, it’s a styling service subscription box that sends you five items per box, ranging from jewelry and jeans to purses and shoes. You fill out a style profile that lets you select everything from if you like to show off your shoulders to linking to a Pinterest board where you can pin items you like to help give your stylist inspiration, here’s mine! The box costs $20 upfront and that goes towards whatever you purchase. If you do choose to purchase all five items you get a 25% discount.
Stitch Fix Review September 2018 Box
Unfortunately, the note included shared that my previous stylist was out. Ready to see what I received? As a reminder, I asked for options to wear for our fall photos. I really didn’t give any other guidelines and did make sure to ask that they not send any shoes. My feet are very picky about the shoes that I wear. While I’m not a fashion blogger I think I have improved my photos a bit!
I always love opening this box! It’s hard to tell but the colors are so fall and so beautiful! They also give styling suggestions for each of the items! I love to keep the suggestions for the items I keep to give me inspiration.
Outfit One: Clothing Item 1 and 2
The top is Laila Jayde – Arnau Front Pocket Dolman Knit Top and the scarf is Girly – Anais Feather Infinity Scarf. Feathers are such a popular thing and the scarf is very lightweight which is so versatile for Florida. So many pretty colors in it. It’s funny going back to my last post and I said exactly this, “I’ve never really found a dolman top that I like how it fit, and this one was no exception.”. So, yet again, ditto. The color is beautiful, such a perfect color for fall so I wish I liked it, but alas…the dolman style is just not right for this pear-shaped girl. This time I was more clear about that on my feedback. Verdict – Kept the scarf, sent back the top.
Outfit Two: Clothing Item 3 and 4
The top is Market & Spruce – Evella Mixed Material Boatneck Top and the jeans are STS Blue – Neve Scissor Hem Skinny Jean. I did share that I love plaid and it’s so perfect for fall but I’m not sure that the stripes were flattering for me. The shirt was a little stiff and I could see it ending up feeling a touch too short. I love jeans, I wear jeans all the time and am always happy to add another pair of jeans that were comfortable but these were a little too skinny for my booty. Verdict – Sent both items back
Outfit Three: Clothing Item 5
The dress is Nine Britton – Skylee Knit Dress. The color is beautiful! I love purple and owuld be so lovely for Fall but the shape of it didn’t feel right. The fabric was very thin, which is nice in Florida, but didn’t seem right on this dress. Verdict – Sent it back
Although I only kept one item, I was overall pretty pleased with my Stitch Fix and look forward to my next one which is already scheduled. I got one item that pushes me outside of what I would usually buy, but yet still get a lot of use. The colors were right there but just need something a little different. I feel like I get in a bit of a store rut and this really helps me be a little less predictable. Have you tried Stitch Fix? Want to check out my other Stitch Fix review here? Give it a try!

Love the jeans and scarf in this one! Maybe we should send pics of ourselves to each other to get opinions to further push us to try new things! 😁
Yes! That would be fun 🙂
