I have to admit, this was an accidental Stitch Fix! Oops! I apparently forgot I had set up my account for a fix every month and all of a sudden was getting a notice that I had a fix coming! So I was going into it blind without having giving them any feedback.

Have you tried Stitch Fix yet? If you’re not familiar, it’s a styling service subscription box that sends you five items per box, ranging from jewelry and jeans to purses and shoes. You fill out a style profile that lets you select everything from if you like to show off your shoulders to linking to a Pinterest board where you can pin items you like to help give your stylist inspiration, here’s my board! The box costs $20 upfront and that goes towards whatever you purchase. If you do choose to purchase all five items you get a 25% discount. I’ve reviewed three of my other boxes here, here and here if you want to see some of the other boxes I’ve received!
Stitch Fix Review January 2019 Box
Once again I ended up with a different stylist. I have to admit I haven’t done a good job keeping track of the stylists I thought “got me” more than others so it’s hard to request a stylist. Seeing as how I didn’t give them anything to go off of, I felt a little confused by the message from my stylist this time. This fix felt very polarizing and I feel like the stylist hadn’t read previous feedback that I had provided.
Look at the pretty colors! Do you notice you only see four items? That’s because I got jewelry too! So excited for jewelry. I will admit, I did peek at the items online before I got the box and was a little unsure about some of the items but I’m always ready with an open mind.
Outfit One: Clothing Item 1
Outfit Two: Clothing Item 2
The top is Mix By 41 Hawthorn, Corinna Brushed Dolman Knit Top. The fabric was so soft, but I didn’t want another striped tops. Also I really don’t like dolman tops. I have told them this multiple times but I keep getting them. I really hope they listen this time, they are so not flattering for pear shapes. Verdict – See ya
Outfit Three: Clothing Item 3
The top is Market & Spruce, Balsman Button Down Knit Top. I do love plaid, but I still managed to dislike everything about this shirt. The style was just wrong, the fit a little off and the fabric wasn’t right. Verdict – Not for me!
Outfit Four: Clothing Item 4 and Jewelry
The dress is French Grey, Murphy Brushed Knit Dress and the necklace is Marlyn Schiff, Newman Circle Charm Layering Necklace. These were the items that saved the Fix for me. The dress is so comfortable and perfect for the work trip I have coming up. It’s definitely versatile and the colors are gorgeous. The necklace is so pretty and can be worn with so many things, dressed up or down. Verdict – Kept them both.
I love the two items I kept and strongly disliked the other three. I’m pretty happy with that though and feel like it was especially good since I really went into this fix completely blind. I kept three items! I’ve never kept that many items and I really did enjoy this fix. I didn’t end up using any of the items for our family photos, but I have still enjoyed adding them to my closet. I can’t wait for my next fix, which is already scheduled. Have you tried Stitch Fix? Give it a try!
